Assistant Professor, tenure track, beginning fall, 2010. AOS: Ethics and/or Philosophy of Science.

AOC: Ethics and/or Philosophy of Science and History of Philosophy. Ph.D. in hand at time of application required. Applicants should be dynamic and flexible and be able to contribute effectively to the university’s required six-credit Intellectual Heritage sequence. The candidate hired will cooperate creatively in a highly collegial department of thirteen representing five disciplines. Desirable upper-level offerings include electives to support the new Humanities and Science major, and to offer a practical philosophical perspective on the basic questions of existence. Evidence of potential/record of scholarly publication required. The usual teaching load will be three courses per semester.
